andersson-pape studios (a-p studios) is a boutique creative studio focused on delivering highly creative mobile and web experiences to its agency and brand clients.  It is our goal to push the edge on the latest creative design tools, media technologies, and social strategies available to online and mobile audiences, in order to reach the world’s most difficult audience; the 21st century consumer.

We’re not going to lie to you.  a-p studios is a new company.  Some of you coming here will have known us for many years; while operating at other companies, either as owners, executives or senior staff.  What we are going to show you here, is what we have done since our launch in March 2009 and what we are capable of.  We’ve given full credit to where we were at the time in the summaries below.  We’re proud of our past and know you’ll be excited by what we are doing now and in the future.

Restaurant Life – Facebook Game

Deeks Duck Hunt

Technology: iPhone – Unity, OpenGL, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, PHP, MySQL

Deeks came to us with the desire to remain relevant to it’s latest generation of hunting enthusiasts who are also into the latest in mobile technology (iPhone).  We wanted to bring something that was both retro and new, as it matched the long history of Deeks, yet their continuing evolution as a sporting brand.  We built a single person game that had both 2D and 3D elements, and tied into web based profiles allowing for high score attainment and competitviveness amongst players.

Saab

Saab was introducing a new line of cars and wanted to break out of their traditional mold and appeal to a more family audience, without losing touch with the brand identity that Saab of being a energetic sports car manufacturer.  The execution speaks to the company’s Swedish roots, it’s passion for sleek, powerful vehicles, and touts the new look of its automobiles.

Nike

Technology: Flash/Actionscript 3, Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, FinalCut Pro

Nike was releasing its ACG line and wanted to show off the features of the new line, as well as the athletes supporting the new line.

IHOP Restaurant

Technology: Flash/Actionscript 3, Illustrator, Photoshop, PHP, Joomla, MySQL

Agency: FrontGate Creative | White Barn Group

IHOP partnered with 20th Century Fox, for the 2008 Spring theatrical release of Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who Complete with streaming film trailer and downloadable fun. IHOP needed to manage multiple, nearly simultaneous online campaigns for DR, Brand and non-profit efforts and needed each to drive the right kind of awareness without influencing each other in a negative manner.

Activision

Agency: FrontGate Creative | White Barn Group

The Gaming League was a tournament style MMO social site where teams could come together in a tournament to play various combat and fantasy games in ladder type system of moving up the ladder until all teams were eliminated.  Each sponsor provided sponsor and prize packages to the winning team.  We did both the creative design, as well as the PHP5 development.  The system included profiles, team standings, tournament development (admin backend) as well as social tools for communication during the game amongst the players on a team.

Solution: Using multiple creative and development teams, we ensured the focus of each group maintained the integrity of each campaign to ensure it drove the right online message and converted each core audience in the manner needed by the client.
